9 Frame Title Sequence Analysis
Shutter Island
The opening title sequence is created for the 2010 Martin Scorsese film. The imagery uses a mixture of live footage and digital rendering. The approach of the titles helps to draw the audience into the film, playing with the idea of a distorted reality which the main character goes through.
